One of the joys of living in the fourth largest city in America is that it is well represented when it comes to the fine arts. But, thanks to the charity of many of Houston’s oil rich, we also have some space unique to Space City. That includes the incredible Menil Collection, an always free campus of founders John and Dominique de Menil’s prized curation. With some of the world’s finest examples of surrealist art including the Cy Towmbly Gallery plus the new Menil Drawing Institute, and set amongst a tranquil park of massive oak trees, the Menil is truly an inspiring space for all Houstonians.
